  3. I am a 8yr DVT and PE survivor, had mine 6 weeks after the birth of my little girl, after 8yrs I finally learned how to deal with my daily pains. I dont know if it made me stronger what I know is that it has made me appreciate life a lot more. I have enjoyed all of my daughter’s 8 yrs and admit I sometimes cry when I look at her I remember when I was in the ICU for 2 months and we weren’t even sure that I would make it…I have been blessed to see my older children graduate high school, have my two boys in college and my 25yr old daughter made me a grandma…I take the opportunity to educate folks on this because it can happen to anyone and as we all know not everyone survives…. Totally love what you guys do to spread the word! thank you!

    • Thank you for sharing your story – it is a beautiful one and it sounds like you have a beautiful family. Yes, so many do not survive, but I am thankful there are people like you and so many here to help get the word out. Enjoy your children, that is truly a gift to be able to watch them grow, as you know. Thank you so much for entering and good luck!

  4. I am a survivor! 12 years as of yesterday! Blood clot in the center of my brain….not very common, but very dangerous just like every other blood clot. It made me so much stronger and definitely more positive. You never know when something can kill you….be strong and tough and live each and every day!

    • Wonderful advice, Sarah and very important to keep in mind – thank you for sharing it with all of us. I like posting giveaways because we get to hear from so many people who we may not have normally. I am glad you are here to share another anniversary and stat strong as I know you will. Thank you so much for entering and good luck!

  5. I am a survivor for 11 years! I am so lucky and happy to see my boys grow up. I spent 2 months in the hospital…there are daily battles still…but I am just grateful that I am here! Spread the word about this…so many people still have no clue!

    • You are right – so many people have no clue and that is why it is so important to spread the message. I did not know about this before it happened to me! Thank you for sharing about your boys. • Thank YOU Lilly for being here and sharing with us. I remember how I felt at 7 months out and that is a very hard place to be in. I was starting to feel a little better, but still nothing like myself and I thought it would never get any better than it did then. I hope you can get answers and continue on your path to healing. Thank you again for being here. Also, thank you for your entry and good luck!
